LeadsPlease

Configure LeadsPlease integration to let customers purchase targeted mailing lists directly from the cart.

LeadsPlease is a mailing list provider that supplies consumer, business, new homeowner, and new mover address lists for direct mail campaigns. When enabled, a Purchase tab appears on the storefront cart page alongside the standard file upload tab. Customers can use the LeadsPlease widget to search for and purchase a targeted mailing list, which is then automatically attached to their direct mail order as the data source.

This integration requires a LeadsPlease affiliate account. Contact LeadsPlease to obtain your affiliate code, username, password, and data set key.

Configure LeadsPlease

  1. From your Unified Admin, go to Settings > Partner Apps > LeadsPlease.
  2. If no account exists yet, click Setup LeadsPlease Account to create one.
  3. Enter your LeadsPlease credentials and configure the behavior options.
  4. Click Save.

To remove the integration, click Delete (only visible after the account has been soft-deleted via Cancel).

Account Settings

FieldDescription
Affiliate CodeYour LeadsPlease affiliate/partner ID. This code identifies your account when the LeadsPlease widget loads on the storefront and is included in all list purchase and fulfillment requests.
Data Set KeyOptional dataset identifier that restricts the LeadsPlease widget to a specific dataset. Leave blank to show all available datasets. Useful if your LeadsPlease account has access to multiple data sources and you want to limit what customers see.
UsernameYour LeadsPlease account username. Used to authenticate list fulfillment API calls when downloading purchased mailing list data from LeadsPlease servers.
PasswordYour LeadsPlease account password. Used with the username for list fulfillment authentication.
Production ModeControls which LeadsPlease environment is used.

Unchecked -- Uses the test environment (test.leadsplease.com). Use this while setting up and testing the integration.

Checked -- Uses the production environment (www.leadsplease.com). Enable this when ready for live customer purchases.
Default To PurchaseControls which tab is active by default when a customer adds a new data list on the cart page.

Unchecked -- The Upload tab is active by default. Customers must click the Purchase tab to access LeadsPlease.

Checked -- The Purchase tab is active by default and the LeadsPlease widget opens automatically.
Auto-map Common FieldsControls whether purchased list fields are automatically mapped to standard address fields.

Checked -- Automatically maps common fields (first name, last name, title, company, address 1, address 2, city, state, zip) and skips the field mapping wizard. This reduces friction for customers purchasing standard address lists.

Unchecked -- Customers must manually map fields through the mapping wizard after purchasing a list.
Allow Purchased List DownloadsControls whether customers can download purchased mailing lists as files.

Checked -- A download button appears for purchased lists on the cart page.

Unchecked -- Purchased lists can only be used for the direct mail order and cannot be downloaded.

How It Works

Customer Purchase Flow

  1. On the cart page, the customer clicks the Purchase tab (or it opens automatically if Default To Purchase is enabled).
  2. The LeadsPlease widget loads in an embedded iframe, initialized with your affiliate code and optional data set key.
  3. The customer searches for a mailing list by selecting a list type (Consumer, Business, New Homeowner, or New Mover) and defining targeting criteria.
  4. After selecting a list, the customer chooses a quantity and completes the purchase through the widget.
  5. PrintNow receives the list criteria ID, quantity, price, and list type from LeadsPlease.
  6. A data upload record is created and attached to the cart item. The list data is fetched from LeadsPlease using the fulfillment API with your stored username and password.
  7. If Auto-map Common Fields is enabled, standard address fields are mapped automatically. Otherwise, the customer completes a field mapping wizard.

Supported List Types

  • Consumer -- Standard consumer mailing lists with residential addresses
  • Business -- Business owner and executive lists with company information and SIC/NAICS codes
  • New Homeowner -- Recent home buyer lists
  • New Mover -- Recent mover lists
