Image Effects

Filters, adjustments, and effects customers can apply to image items in the Print Editor's Advanced Editor — one-click presets plus fine-grained light, color, detail, and effect controls.

When a customer selects an image in the Advanced Editor, the image panel offers a full set of photo effects — one-click filter presets, fine-grained light/color/detail adjustments, and effects like drop shadow, border, and vignette. Every control is non-destructive: adjustments are stored as settings on the image and re-applied on each render, so they can be changed or cleared at any time without altering the uploaded file. A Reset button at the bottom of the panel returns the image to its original state.

Image effects are part of the Advanced Editor. They apply to image items the customer has placed or uploaded; the Simple Editor doesn't expose them.

Filter Presets

The Filters section offers one-click looks. Selecting a preset applies a coordinated set of adjustments in a single tap; selecting None clears the preset. There are 18 presets:

GroupPresets
PunchyVivid, Crisp, Bright, Pop, Dramatic
Black & white / tonedMono, Noir, Sepia
Film & vintageVintage, Retro, Faded, Polaroid, Cinematic
Warmth & moodWarm, Cool, Sunny, Moody, Soft

Filter Intensity (0–100) controls how strongly the chosen preset is applied, so a look can be dialed back without switching presets.

A preset is a starting point — customers can layer the manual adjustments below on top of it.

Adjustments

The Adjust section groups fine-grained sliders into three categories. Each adjustment is centered at 0 (no change) unless noted, with negative values reducing and positive values increasing the effect.

Light

ControlRangeEffect
Brightness−100 to 100Overall lightness of the image.

Opacity

An Opacity slider (10–100%) controls how transparent the image item is on the canvas. It's available when the product allows image opacity changes.

Effects

The Effects section adds two element-level treatments:

Drop Shadow

ControlRangeEffect
Blur0 to 100Softness of the shadow's edge.
Angle0 to 360°Direction the shadow is cast.
Distance0 to 72How far the shadow is offset from the image.
Opacity0 to 100Strength of the shadow.

Resetting

The Reset button at the bottom of the panel clears every filter, adjustment, and effect on the selected image, returning it to its original appearance. Because effects are non-destructive, the underlying uploaded image is never modified.
