Offline Templates

Manage downloadable design templates for offline editing software.

Offline Templates let you provide downloadable PDF or ZIP template files that customers can use to create their designs in external software such as Adobe Illustrator or InDesign. Each template is associated with a specific pricing category and size, and includes visual guides showing bleed areas, trim boxes, and safe zones so customers produce print-ready files with correct dimensions.

When a template is assigned to a pricing size, customers see a download link on the product page (in quote mode with a standard size selected) that lets them download the template file before uploading their finished design.

View Offline Templates

  1. From your Unified Admin, go to Print Editor > Offline Templates.
  2. The page is split into two panels:
    • Left panel: A paginated grid listing all uploaded templates with search functionality.
    • Right panel: Color settings for auto-generated template guides.
  3. To add a new template, click the Add button.
  4. Use the three-dot menu in the header for bulk Export and Import options.

Colors

The Colors panel on the right side of the page controls the colors used in auto-generated template PDFs. These colors define the visual guide elements that help customers understand print boundaries. Each color is selected using a color picker.

Color SettingDescription
Bleed LineThe color of the bleed boundary line. This marks the outermost edge where the design should extend to ensure full coverage after trimming.
Bleed AreaThe fill color of the bleed zone between the trim line and the bleed boundary. Helps customers visualize the area that will be trimmed off.
Trim BoxThe color of the trim line marking the final cut size of the printed piece.
Save AreaThe color of the safe zone boundary. Important text and graphics should stay within this area to avoid being cut off during trimming.
Name & SizeThe color used for the product name and size label text that appears on the auto-generated template.

Click Save to apply the color changes. The updated colors are used the next time an auto-generated template PDF is downloaded from the storefront.
